Hibiscus Water?

I am thinking about putting a Hibiscus in my large enclosure, because my ficus is getting way to big. I have heard they are hard to keep in an enclosure, so i was wondering what type of watering schedule some of you do with the Hibiscus tree. I have a mist king, and was wondering. Please let me know and thanks for looking.

Unless you got a buttload of light don't get one. I have one and only the top closest to the lights is thriving. They need about 24,000 lumens. As far as watering I have two nozels from my monsoon that mist over head and above my river rock on the soil. It mists every 4 hours for 30-45 seconds.

I have two in a terrarium growing and flowering like crazy. I do not water them directly. the mistking runs for 45 seconds 5 times a day.

I made sure to add an inch of rock with screen covering it at the bottom of the pot so that it would drain properly.

At this time I have two of the twisted hibiscus trees in my 18x18x36" cage with one 6500K CFL bulb, my 5.0 UVB CFL bulb, and a 65W household light bulb. They are growing like crazy. I hand mist for 4-5 minutes 2-3 times a day and have a dripper going almost all day. I drilled a bunch of small holes in the bottom of the pots so they drain well. I do have to say that they have not bloomed but I am thinking its because Rebel loves to munch on the plant and I am thinking he eats the buds before they can develop into flowers. lol I never "water" the plants themselves. They get watered by the mistings and the dripper.

Hope this helps..

thanks for the fast response. I have the same lights vgaines, and I think they will be good but just wanted to get an idea
