I feel like an idot asking  this but I'm going to anyway. :p

What does it mean when someone says they have a holdback chameleon??

Thanks! :D

I believe it means that as a very young cham it was showing potential to be something spectacular, so they hold it, don't sell it until it's older to see how it progresses. At that time (6-7 months) they determine whether to keep it or sell it.

Ask away lol. Its a chameleon they are planning to keep or hold on to from the babies that were born. I would say the best pick of the litter. :)

Breeders consider them the "pick of the litter" and plan to keep them possibly for their own personal breeding program.
