Holy HUGE, Batman!

You're my inspiration.

I just ordered the same atrium cage. I also got the drip tray, a MistKing, a 48" Arcadia Quad Light setup, another basking lamp (better than what I have), and a fancy smancy solar output thermometer.

I'm broke. It's all ramen noodles from here on out. Can't say I don't love my little guy.

I just ordered the drip try, I thought I could do without but not so much.

I got the mistking wedge...little tip....had I to do it again I wouldn't install it in the corner like I did. The nozzle doesn't spray far enough out and it drips down the side. I would only attach one side of the wedge and move it out from the corner about 2 inches. I would move mine but I don't want to have a hole in my screen where it was.

I got the 36" quad light. I had thought about the 48" but Todd recomended the 36". It works great and shines very bright throughout the whole cage. It's heavy so I had to place a wooden crossbar on each end so it's not weighing down directly on the screen.

My large clear side atrium just shipped!!!! I cannot wait to put it together. It delivers Tuesday so hopefully I can have it up and running by the end of the week. I have a lot of custom stuff to do. Active draining system, and potting plants, and the foam and whatnot. This is going to be SWEET.

For my mistking setup, I have three nozzles, one of which is a double nozzle, so four. I am going to use the double and a single on one side and just one single on the other side of the cage to create a gradient. I figure having three nozzles on one side will probably do nicely for the size of this cage.

I thought about getting a smaller one but I ended up pulling the trigger on a 48. I am sure it will work fine. It has very nice adjustable feet, I was EXTREMELY impressed with the setup when I opened the box. Did it take you two hours just to tear all the cardboard off? It was EXTREMELY well packaged. LOL!

I made my husband take it out of the box. LOL. Let him get annoyed. I put it together, took me a couple of hours.

I actually found out how to make the nozzle longer by adding longer tubes between each segment. That is going to be my project this weekend. I have one nozzle on one side and a rain dome on the other.

SWEET! Thanks for the tips Peachy....our Large atrium arrives tomorrow and I am so pumped. Found the perfect piece of furniture for it to sit on and everything. We are so excited to move Stuart from his medium atrium to his new mansion.
I got the drainage tray, 36" quad and will move his mist king over as well. So I will definitely heed your advice on the wedge placement.

When you speak of the longer tubes, were these mist king parts or something you put together?
Again, thanks for the info!

It's just the tubing that goes with the mistking. One of the members here posted a link on my thread that gave pictures of the how to. I'll be doing it this weekend.

Here's the thread it was posted on...
Check out comment #5 the second link.

My large clear side atrium and drip tray were delivered today. I will be spending all of tomorrow and getting as much done on the setup as is possible. Thankfully, I have the next three days off so I should have a fully operational Deathstar, I mean enclosure, by the weekend. I plan on letting the system set up and reach equilibrium before I put him in it, so this be his last week in the small cage. I plan on taking a video when he goes in the big one for the first time, and cracking a beer in his honor. Maybe I'll put some in his dripper. :p

Hey Peachy, is the clear sided tough to keep clean considering the misting? I am thinking about retrofitting to the clear sides but am a little concerned about keeping the water spots away. Even with distilled water, I would imagine that spots would still show?

I've not seen any spotting actually. I use RO water.
