Honey bee larvae for chameleon? yes or no?

They are fed honeys and nectarine by the adult bee.. So, i am guessing they are extremely healthy.
In my country, there are people that do eat them -it is available for sale too.
Anybody has ever try them for their chameleon or has any thoughts about them as diets?

thanks

just curious - how/where are you planning to come up with honey bee larvae? Other than from a beekeeper they'd be pretty hard to come by here and considering the current problem with CCD (colony collapse disorder) I doubt you'd find many keepers readily giving them up. I would think they'd be fine for your cham if he'd eat them, but like any other insect there is always the risk of biocides. Honeybees are exposed to pesticides and other -cides that we humans love to spray around with abandon. :(

lol! an earthquake will separate you guys eventually;) I think dodolah is referring to his home country, though I don't recall where that is - maybe Middle East somewhere? I am sure he will chime in soon enough...

when i was little my dad used to have 3 honey bee hives. i would like to know also where you are located. my guess asian?

My guess dodolah's from South america somewhere...
This should be a new thread, The "guess where's dodolah's originally from"...lol
Cheers Scott...
BTW, if you could get them, I think bee larvae would be excellent feeders!

do you know the nutritional value of these little guys? maybe they are high in fat like the wax worms... they eat honey and so do the larvae (kinda...) so i would think that is the case. have you tried to feed one to your cham yet? it might be interesting!! :)

keep guessing :D
lol.. I originally come from Indonesia.
We have many honey bee farm. It's very easy to get weird things like ant grubs and honey bee larvae for feeder (mostly used for bird).
My mom used to buy red ants mixed with the larvae for her pet bird.
Unfortunately, I have never try to feed them to my chameleon:p
