As already said, they are considered a pest in the UK. Likewise, we can get locusts which are illegal in the US for the same reasons!

do u keep them in a tank like u do for locusts, or do u have to do it another way, defo gunna try elmo on them as he can be abit funny with locusts sometimes, but will eat marios.r they expensive to buy or ok.
They're illegal to sell, so as to not to spread and increase the populations already present to areas/numbers where they damage crops further. Also locusts are not the same as grasshoppers, which is what you may be seeing.
Hey misslily did u find out if them eri silkworms are okay? The guy on www.silkworms.co.uk sells them so im guessing there alright.
