I have mainly fed my chams crickets with the occasional hornworm(s) every other week. My local store has just told me yesterday that they will start selling Silkworms soon but I have no knowledge about them. They also have these little containers of phoenix worms but when I look inside all I see is some mushy stuff with these little things that look like dead meal worms inside. Can anybody fill me in on these phoenix and silkworms pros and cons?? thx.

Both silks and phoenix worms are two of the best feeders available. Both are naturally high in calcium, to the point most do not even dust them.

You are very fortunate to have a store in your area carrying these two feeders. I get both online (received a shipment yesterday) and the shipping costs basically double the price for those of us who are forced to order online.

Hi,

question about garden bugs as feeder. Living in Southern California we have bugs in large quantites all year long. just saw a bunch of pill bugs this morning. Are they safe?
