Hornworms

How do you guys feed hornworms to your chameleons? Just leave them on a branch? They climb right out of bowls

I usually put mine on a vine or leaf "with in" tongue shot but not to close and watch to see if he eats it or not.

There also good to hand or spoon feed I'll put mine on a spoon and hold it head first if they shoot the head they crunch it and can swallow it but if they shoot the side sometimes it gets bitten in half and spat out or backwards they might not kill it and have a really hard time swallowing it alive .

Ok I will try the spoon over the weekend. My problem is I leave for work early and get home late. So I don’t have time during the week to watch him eat

I usually hand feed my boy his worms. On the days he's extra grumpy or that I don't have time I leave them on a branch.

I hand feed mine super worms on weekend mornings and he loves them. I tried a hornworm once and he didn’t go for it. So was thinking of leaving one in his cage

My two prefer worms by hand. They like to hunt roaches and crickets, but like the hornworms and supers by hand. It's probably because the insects are moving more when held.

Ok. I tried once to feed a hornworm by hand but he just looked at it. That was about 4 months ago. I’m going to try again
