can your veiled chameleon eat house flies?

I've heard chameleons eat pretty much any bug.. the problem is whether or not they're SAFE to eat. I've heard they can die from eating lightning bugs, from the chemicals that make them glow. I don't know about house flies, they most likely are safe but you might wanna double check.

Mine are quite capable of catching and eating house flies.

Ozzie has been eating house flies since we got him a month ago. I catch atleast 10 a day for him and these are his favorite treat. I caught him a huge one the other day ( Biggest house fly) I ever seen in my life and Ozzie stalked him like a cat on a mouse.

I also heard the same about lightning bugs so becareful if there are any around and taking your Chameleon outside for fresh air.
