How do I get the dubia nymphs out of the frass?

Cleaning out the dubia tub.. having some trouble getting them all out of the frass.

Any suggestions?

Got all of the adults out.. just have to get the babies now.

I don't have a lot of time to spend picking them out otherwise I would have done so.. and I have to do this outside, so there's no light.

Syn, this is what I did. I don't use this setup for housing them, but it sure is awesome for sorting. Pour, shake and voila!

Hmmm well here's the start of the thread. It's a contraption made out of two buckets and holes. $7.00 at home deot.

Wouldn't the frass fall out with the babies, though?

Good point, I use this to separate the largers from the smallers and then I use egg crate for the babies to climb on and dump the frass.

So all the babies and fraze are in a bin separate from the adults now, right? Leave a few egg cartons in with the babies, but little else. Every few hours, pick up the egg carton, which should have a batch of babies on it, and bang it into the new bin where the adults are. Return now baby-free carton to baby (and poop) bin. After a week or so, you will have moved all the babies. Burn the remainder to ensure anything left behind doesnt infest the house/neighbourhood.

Burn it? Oh that's not going to look good LOL.

I ended up having to put them right back in the tub, since it got too dark and too late.
