I've had dova for a year now and she is going through her first egg laying. It started this morning with her scratching at the floor an has now "looks" like she has finished. Only think I'm concern about it she just sitting there on the sand. Do I give her space or help out?

Do not disturb her--Leave her there in her laying bin until she is completely done.

She will probably resume normal behavior when she is done, so if you see her for a day or two and a lot of eggs are laid and she is hanging around acting normal, eating, basking, drinking, she is probably done.

A done female is always dirty, thin, tired, hungry, and thirsty. You'll find her basking, looking much thinner, covered in sand, and probably desperate for food.

What kind of laying set up do you have for her? Is she digging?

You can turn the lights off like normal, she'll stop to sleep.

Agreed, she'll be eating when she's done! Always very hungry from what I've heard once they're finished laying.
