how do you like new enclosure??

So I moved my 8 month ambilobe to his new 2'x2'x4' about a month ago. I finally think I am finished with his setup. I got one tropical hibiscus, one pothos, and a passion vine. Additionally I made a frame structure out of baked bamboo for him to roam..tell me what you guys think!

It looks pretty good, although the picture is kind of small so hard to see much detail :)

Probably the one thing I would suggest is adding more foliage and horizontal basking vines. You could put in some fake plants to add more foliage until the live plants grow. It also looks like he only has one distance he can choose from the heat/UVB, whereas it would be best if he had a couple options. For example, one horizontal branch could be 90-95F and one could be 80-85F, and one could be 7" from UVB and one 10".

Also, it looks like you have three lights. I take it the strip light is the UVB and the two domes are heat and a plant light (6500K)? You will definitely need a lot of light for those plants.

Where did you get the bamboo from? (cost?)

Bamboo sold at Michaels (6 coated nice pieces for $10) and Home Depot (6 cheap smaller in diameter pieces for $1.96). The cheaper ones last 12-18 months. The nicer ones haven't given up after 2 years and are easier to cut without jagged edges. Tape off where you want to cut and use hacksaw.

Thanks for the input guys! I definitely will add more foliage! And yes I have a double fixture with a 6% arcadia uvb and 6500k daylight, a hear bulb and a 6500k cfl for the hibiscus. As far as the bamboo, I make it myself. I bake it and then I add magnets to the end so that I can keep them in place magnetically so I don't tear the screen of the cage.
