how do you tell the difference between a male & female vailed chameleon??

i was told i have 2 girls that r the same age but 1 is smaller with a smaller bit on top of her head (sorry don't know the name for this) & she is green all over & the pother 1 is totally opposite & the colouring is green,yellow,brown i will get a pic on here as soon as if that will help

Males have tarsul spurs at on each back foot, they look like little bumps. The females dont

and yes ... males have a very definite tarsal spur on the heels of their back feet.

How old are they?

Yes, they will need to be separated.

The only time they should be together is when you are breeding them.

Chams are solitary animals & one of them will get stressed to the point where it will get sick.

That male will most likely dominate the female for everything..

Basking spot, food, water.. yah name it

babies can be kept together until they're 2.5 mo.
after that, they need to be separated be4 they start killing or stressing each other.
