Hey guys I just breed my 8 month old male with my brother in law 1 year old female today how long before she will lay and is there anything we need to do out side of what is said in the breeding section looking for extra tips
I would suggest doing all the research on breeding now. Doing it before would have been a much better idea. There are some great thread at the top of the breeding section of the forum and plenty of blogs on here. Get ready to spend money and alot of time.
Get a laying box in her cage asap and make sure she gets plents of calcium and has a good healthy diet. Iam unfortunatly about to loose a chameleon who bhas become egg abound and to weak to lay the rest of her eggs even with a oxytocin shot and before this she was in a vets opinion in very good health so do your research and get it set up as quickly as possible
I have done research what I was asking is there anything else that is not on here that maybe some has done that will help move things along smoothly I know about the bin and the calcium and the money and the time but when it come to days before laying keep seeing different info just looking for extra tips
Privacy during laying process is good. I think there are several different ways people do this. Towels over enclosure, move them to a different room, also a seperate enclosure just set up for laying.
