For veiled chameleon and Panther Chameleon , How long you provide UVB light every day ?

My chameleons free range and can come and go in and out of the lights as they please. By no means do they sit under a UV light for 12 hours each day.....probably not even 6. I'm sure in the wild they would not get 12 hours of UV a day either.

Usually, you have to provide subadult and adult chameleons ACCESS to UVB light for 12 hours a day on average. Once they are old enough, they tend to get the ability to "measure" how much UVB they need, and they'll come on and off the UVB just like Jannb said, depending if they need more or less UVBs.

Personally, i change the timers depending on the seasons. For summer, the lights are on for up to 14 hours a day, and will get lower during winter (maybe 10 to 11 hours).

It's also important to not put your UVB lights too close or too far from your enclosure. And, of course, don't forget to change your lights frequently, depending on what is suggested for your bulb. This is very very important!!

I set mine initially for 12 hours a day, but I find they are ready for bed before the lights go out. Maybe I will try Marc's idea.
