How many Silkworms

My first delivery of silkworms have just arrived and i was just wondering how many should i feed in a sitting?

It really depends on how big and fat they are. Also depends on age of your Cham and how many feeders he gets.

Sometimes my girl only gets 1 as the big ones can be equal to 2 or 3 crickets.

He is about 9 months old. And normally eats 4 or 5 medium large locust a day. The silk worms are only small, about 1 to 2 cm. How big do they grow?

more than double that at adult size.
you can give him quite a few of the small ones you have. Even better, IMHO, to give him a couple locust and a couple silkworms together. (and other combinations of various prey)

Thanks for the advise. Do I need to dust the silkworms? I have also got some calci worms, I was thinking of giving a few of them with the silkworms.

Silkworms are naturally high in calcium. We don't dust them.

My advice would be to mix some soft bodies, like silkworms or calciworms with some hard bodies. Too many soft bodies can result in runny poo. In short, I agree with sandrachameleon.

Lol Sandra, your username comes up so quickly in my phone's autocorrect :D

Well a gave him a few of the smaller ones and he loved them so I think I will look into trying to breed them myself. Are they easy to do?

You have to be careful you don't give them too many silkss per day because they will stop eating crickets ,that happened to me .to my Panthers I give them one large one ,or two medium ones per day ,along with a few supers ,then of course the crickets, and like the prior member stated u don't have to dust them since they are high in calcium.
