You should keep him outside 24/7. They do so well outdoors there no reason to bring him inside to live. you should try to build a cage around a bush or some sort of small tree and keep him in that. Nature will do most of the work for you this way. It doesnt even need to be a cage just something to boarder the plant so he couldnt escape. Thats what I would do if I kept Jacks in HI.

yup im in the process of building a outside enclosure the tree is almost 10feet high that the cage is going around :D i want to have jacks and golden dust geckos in the same cage im going to plant cabbage and other vegatable around the ground so the geckos can pick up all the bugs on the ground. im gathering bamboo from the forest im going to make the frame from bamboo :D

uvb my man!

cool if you can get him a permanent home outside ASAP. But how long is it going to take? dude needs UVB light every day or there will be problems down the road with his bones...a day light provides no UVB, and 9-12 in sunlight doesn't seem like enough--a more experienced member can tell you for sure.

I bought some reptisun bulbs at Petco, which I never shop at but I swung by becasue I needed a vine, and they had a sale from 50 dollars to 4. A saved a fortune, i dont know it might be worth checking. My Petco is still having the sale.
