I weighed my crested geckos when we were thinking of breeding her, to make sure she was big enough but I hadn't weighed my veiled until reading on here that a lot of people do to keep an eye on health and such!!

my male veiled weighs 9 grams and is roughly 3 1/2 months old, is this normal???

when my veiled was growing he would almost double in weight every month for the first six months then he would put on 10g to 15g a month till he hit 205g then he seem to level out

my baby veiled was 9g since he was 2 months old. After a month he still was 9g. Turned out he had coccidia and pinworms.

Don't be too alarmed if your chameleon isn't gaining a lot of weight at first, some chameleons gain weight slowly at first and then really explode in size. Or they grow at a slow, steady pace the entire time until they're 1.5-2 years old.

Here's a blog comparing the growth of two panthers, both raised under the same roof. One grew very well the entire time while one took a while to really get going: http://muchadoaboutchameleons.blogspot.com/2012/07/two-panthers-growing-up-photo.html

thank you so much for that link, that is a really good thing to see!!! I don't really worry too much about him as he does seem to be doing well!! Just different after having beardies and crested geckos!!! Love them all, and worried for different reason when they all were little!!

just weighed him again today and he weighs 16 grams, he has grown almost double in less then a month!!!! pretty happy with my dude

Didn't get a chance to weigh Leaf last week as we were away in Whistler, so we did our weigh in a week late and his weight this morning was 31 grams, he now is over 5 months, we are loving him!!!

It sounds like he's well on track for weight now. Have you had a fecal done regardless? It's always a great idea as any parasite can affect health in the long run!
