How much to feed a 5 week old Panther

We have a 5-6 week old ambilobe panther. Since 10:00 am he has had 4, 1/4" crickets and an about 3/4" phoenix worm.

Since we have had him the average amount we feed him during a day is 5 crickets (same size) and 1 worm or 4 crickets and 2 worms.

Do you think this is enough? Do chameleons only eat when they are hungry? We just want to make sure Shooter is not being under fed or over fed!

Thanks!!

*sorry ment to say 5-6" ambilobe hes about 10 weeks old

Since he is still so young, feed him as much as he will eat in 5 minutes two or three times a day.

I gave Splat 8 to 12 crickets per day at 6 weeks old.
I devided the food up into two feedings per day.

I don't know why I put 5 week old, he's 10 weeks haha. Shooter is about 5-6 inches in length. It's been a LONG week for me!!!

So we should be feeding him, roughly, a dozen 1/4" crickets per day?

I also want to know if they will stop eating once they are full.

for the most part, no, they eat like there will be no food tomorrow. so they eat all they can.
yet as they get older, they do slow down when full.

even at 10 weeks old, they will over eat if given the chance.
so keep doing what you are doing and start to slow down or feed less as they take larger crickets.

also remember, gutloading your crickets with fresh veggies full of vitamins and calcium is far more important then dusting.
so use some quality greens and other veggies.
