hello!

We bought a female (we didn’t know at the time) veiled chameleon about 2 months ago. We are new to the chameleon family! We love her so much. Chamilla is awesome. I was wondering what I should do about a laying bin. She’s in the Large reptibreeze screened cage I’m trying to figure out what I should do. How old are they when they start laying eggs? She’s only 5 or so months old.

Thanks everyone!

I am NOT an authority on veiled chams and their are many members that can give you more details, but I have heard of females starting to lay in as little as three months. If she's three months old, get a lay bin in there ASAP! Good luck!

I'd say at about 5-6 months old have a laying bin ready to go. Also be prepared to adjust her supplementation since her body will use a lot of calcium to form the egg shells.
