How the heck....

Do you manage to keep the water from the mister inside the screened enclosure. I keep wanting to put something around the outside of the enclosure to keep the water from dripping down my walls and onto my hard wood floors.

Any suggestions at all are greatly appreciated. BTW, I am using a hand held mister and am trying really hard to only spray in the enclosure.

I kept having the same problem with our walls too. I went to the store and bought a cheap clear shower curtain. Our cage sits in a corner, so I covered only the two sides that touch the wall. I attached the shower curtain to the outside of the cage with zip ties and tucked the bottom part of the curtain under the screen cage. This keeps all of the water inside of the cage very effectively.

(And yes I know I need more plants in my cage and I am working on getting some more.)

pointed in and down, from the corner, if you place it just right a majority staysi n teh cage, i have a 4' ficus that goes to the top of mine, so alot of water is deposited on the plant and leaves. tape off the side its mostly coming out of with plastic or something.

I have my misting Nozzles positioned in the front right corner of the cages, and I angle them into the cage... I don't seem to have any problem with water getting out of the sides.

I know you can adjust the PSI on most of the pumps... Maybe turning it down a little will help.

Corrugated plastic cardboard works great on the back and in between cages. It helps any over spray from getting on your walls.

It's also cheap. Most sign supply stores sell a 4' x 8' sheet for $15.00

The more that you can mist from the top or at a steeper angle the more the water will remain in the cage. The addition of something to keep the water inside will also help...shower curtain, plexi.

I was just wondering what the lower part of your cage looked like. Is it a wash basin? thanks

goto walmart or where ever thay sell tupper wear containers and just buy one big enough for your enclosure and then do the plastic shower curtian and then tuck it in the plastic bin so it drips down and into your plastic bin on the bottom

i took heavy duty hefty trash bag, cut and attached to back of my old cage. it was cheap and easy to replace. my new setup has drainage tub that is removable for easy cleaning. the mist doesn't go through sides either. I still keep towel on floor though just in case.
