how to get him to let me mist

I have had Captain Greybeard for almost a week now and he hates misting time. I have tried to make a drip system, but he hides. I even do it to make him drink but he will only drink from his fake branch, and I have no clue how old he is. Any advice?

I keep my automatic misting systems reservoir heated with a heat pad and my manual misting bottle I keep warm by keeping it close to the heat lamp on top of the cage. Mine doesn't mind the misting as much when the water is closer to their current temp, even a few degrees can make a significant difference in how it feels if/when it hits their bodies I would imagine.

Warm water will breed bacteria which will require you to clean your misting reservoir frequently. When my Cham is shedding and the humidity is low I will hand mist warm water. He doesn't like either. Some chams, it seems, don't like being misted directly.

Hand warm water mist with bottle around the cham,unless the cham has no effect on direct misting,u will find out soon on ur own
