Humidifer as enclosure fogger

I just watched a video of someone unboxing a jacksons chameleon, and I noticed that their "fogger" was a humidifier with a tube leading into the enclosure. Is this the same thing as a reptifogger? Is it safe? Just wondering because I have an old humidifer laying around which I could repurpose instead of dropping 50 on a repti fogger. Thanks!

What kind of humidifier do you have (warm or cool mist)? They are useful for providing extra humidity at night or in extra dry conditions, but they do need to be cleaned often to prevent mold/bacteria growth.

As long as it is cool mist. But as mentioned cleanliness is key. Look for easy to clean, comes apart easy and can fully dry out in 24 hours.
