Humidity Help

I have my cage all set up, but no cham in it. The resting humidity is sits between 55°f and 60°f. I mist about three times a day, and when I mist the humidity can get up to 70° and I need it to be higher than that. Does anyone have any tips or ticks on how to keep my humidity up?

I have a ZooMed screen cage. I do not have any real plants in it yet. (I will be adding some on the near future.) My basking point is between 80° and 85°.

Thank you so much for your help!

What kind of Cham are you putting in there? I could be wrong, but for some species, a rise to 70% would be just fine. As an example, the care sheets say 50-70% humidity of good for panthers.

Adding real plants will help retain humidity, just be sure you don't over do it.

I currently have live plants and the humidity is a lot easier to keep up then when using plastic plants (plus if i was a cham i wouldn't want to walk on fake plants all day). I also have a monsoon machine that you can buy to mist your cage throughout the day on a timer. For me this is a lifesaver and wouldn't know what to do without it.
