Hydrating Feeders?

Hey guys,

What are some good feeder insects to up the hydration in my veiled cham? He gets sprayed several times a day (before I go to work and most after work, but sometimes my grandmother mists him as well) and he has a dripper, but is urate is still mostly yellow. He's been eating crickets, super worms, and sometimes meal worm.

Hornworms are like 80% water and are good for hydrating. You can get them from Great Lake Hornworms on the sponsor list. I do not know where you are located but they are in Michigan. I live in Wisconsin and they came very fast, I believe like two days.

@Blang is right: mealworms are bad. Their shell-like utter layer is super hard for your cham to digest and they can get really sick. Silkworms are probably the best hydrating feeder followed by hornworms. Silkworms are also very healthy but be careful because over hydrating can result in runny fecal matter. I would do a combo if your doing an all-worm diet between silkworms, hornworms, and super worms. If you're feeding insects as well, I'd add crickets and dubia roaches to the mix. Be careful with super worms because I hear they are addicting.
