Hi I am going on a trip to my cabin for the fourth of July. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to take my chameleon with. We could bring his cage and get food on the way up north but the one thing I am concerned about is his stress If someone could respond before the 3rd that would be great thanks. BTW my cabin has clean water and electricity. Thanks -Garrett

They are happier at home if they can be fed and watered there. They don't like being moved. If you don't have to don't do it.

Also are your lights and misters automatic? Meaning they do what they need to do without user input?

I will be gone for 5 days, he is around 5 months old and I do not have any of my family that can watch him because they are coming with and none of my friends can do it either because they will be out of town as well

Then you have no choice. Bring everything. Take him in a box seperate from his enclosure. Otherwise you could try your local vets or reptile shops to see if they can board it.

OK thank you for your response I might leave him home with lots of food and find some automatic timers to hook up to the outlet where the mister and lights are plugged in. but would five days be too long?

Too long for a Cham that young. They need fresh food daily.

Buy a cricket keeper if you don't have one and buy 50-60 crickets and bring them with as well as supplements and gutload for them.
