I hate waiting!

Trying to get everything set up so I can order my baby veiled! I got my 5.0 bulb today and I'm waiting for FedEx to get here with the Monsoon.

I've spent the day monitoring temps and making sure it's not too hot. I bought a clamp lamp with a dimmer, I love it! First it was basking at about 95, just had to turn it down a little and its been sitting perfect for the last hour. It's about 85 at the basking area and 75 in the bottom =)

I have a live pothos plant and a ficus + some fake vines. His cage is so full of green, I don't think I'll be able to find him very quick when he's little. That should make him happy, lol.

I've been looking at this empty terrarium so long, really can't wait to put the little guy in there!

I cannot wait either! I have to wait 2 weeks to get my baby panther cham. The cage looks great! Do you have dirt on the bottom? I have read you have to be careful with that because if the cham eats the cricket off the bottom it can eat the dirt with it too. Very nice setup tho! :)

Thanks!
The bottom is bare, I'm gonna get some camo colored carpet for it tho =p Also, gonna put some rocks in the pots around the plants

Cage looks great, lots of green! You're very smart to get the temperatures right before your guy gets here.

What's the dish at the bottom for? Feeders or Water?

I'm thinking feeders, mostly the worm variety. I just left it in there cause I haven't decided where to keep it or if I'm going to use it at all.. came with the terrarium

Looks great! It will help a lot during the winter with it being a glass enclosure. Where at in Minnesota are you located if you don't mind me asking? I am right next door in South Dakota. One of the only two members on the forums from So. Dak. c: The waiting is the worst! I got two little pygmy chameleons a week ago tomorrow in the mail and tomorrow I'm getting a mystery reptile (either a Crested Gecko, or a Jackson's Chameleon) not sure which, but I'm fully prepared. ;)

I live by St. Cloud. And yeah, we did a lot of research on the cages. Everyone kept saying screen but it's SO cold and drafty in the winter here. I just think for winter it will be better. I'm planning on putting a screen for him on my patio though for the summer. =)

I would use a screen and a glass cage, that is large enough. One for the spring through mid-autumn and then winter use the glass. I use all screen all year long but I put plastic around three sides so it will keep in moisture and keep a humidifier running all the time. I love St. Cloud! I have family over in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. c: I am supposed to be moving over there sometime soon.. I hope. :b

Nice! I've only been here since July, I love it here. Before that I spent pretty much my whole life near Ft Worth, Texas. Big change!
I think we're maybe going to custom build something, possibly with removable plexi sides. There's only 1 really big glass enclosure I can find, but its over $300 and has to be shipped freight. Not sure I'm set up to accept a pallet.. Lol

Oh wow! You got lucky with the winter. They are usually much worse! You'll love summers up here. It's super nice! Maybe you can get a large 2'x2'x4' aluminum screen cage and just cover the two sides and back with plexi glass, but have it removable for summer so you can get more air into the cage.
