I have not breed any chams but I've gave it thought and I have a few friends who might be interested in buying one but I've heard about how veiled chameleons can have around 36 baby is there a breed of chams that produce less or if not what do with extra chams

I would recommend living with your chameleon for a year at least before you think about breeding. After you have some experience, you'll be better able to make an informed decision. Babies are a lot of work, take a lot of time and attention, and its a money loosing venture - but also a very kewl experience. You will need a plan for how to find homes for all the babies. Not overfeeding the female (while still feeding properly and adequately) will ensure the clutch size isn't dangerously huge. Here is are some links that will give you lots of information:

i agree with sandrachameleon, get the experience of owning them and caring for them first. Babies are very costly and depending on your climate can be challenging to get food for in winter weather unless you are breeding your own fruit flies and have alot of culures going..they basicaly eat the fruit flies for first few months and selling them and finding homes for them all,but always possible you need the extra space and caging for babies you do not find homes for..
