I want to build my own enclosure ive not realy had experiance in makeing anything that big before i only want it to be sort of 2-3 foot wide and 4 ft high will i have to use a certain type of wood? And what would i need for screening etc so if anyones made one before or has a fair idea the advice would be very helpfull to me im also confused about how i would arange the lighting etc pictures of your home mades would be good to see aswell for some ideas

Here is what I used to build my 2ft wide by 5 ft tall (1 foot of that is a stand) enclosure:

It has a lot of really useful and SPECIFIC! information that I found to be very handy! I constructed mine similar to this way. I did make some differences, though. I used a normal aluminum screen (if you can do hardware cloth I would recommend this way; for the normal aluminum screen is pretty difficult to work with - hard to pull tight, you sometimes get random aluminum frays poking out, so you have to be very careful). I chose aluminum so the bugs wouldn't get out.

Also I chose a different kind of reptile-safe sealer for the wood, and I think we are going to end up spraying the aluminum with it as well. Haven't done research on that yet.

Good luck! There are lots of people who have made their own enclosures here, I find that they are very willing to give advice!!
