These Dubia are huge!!! I think they’re too big for Eustis. What to do!

Are they wider than space in between eye? If not they're fine... another measure I go by... does the cham hesitate to eat them or shoot right away? If they shoot right away then you should be good, if they are hesitant about eating them, might be too big(or in some cases they'll do this with feeders they haven't come across before)

I bought some before but I ordered small which is what I should have ordered this time but for some reason I thought I ordered medium last time! anyway Eustis ate every one of the smalls. I don’t know if these are too big or not but they look huge! I’m going to try them and see if he’ll eat them. If not I’ll have to give them away and order a batch of smalls.

@jamest0o0 these things are width wise about the size of the width between his eyes but length wise they’re bigger. So should I try them with him or will it cause him to choke. I would think chams would know what size insect is beyond they’re ability to swallow but I don’t know.

I agree with your logic here. Offer one, if he gladly goes for it, I'd personally feed them off. I can understand some people worry, but it always worked fine for me.

Yep, they´ll shoot at the head roach and then it should fit. Sometimes if they´re on large side, free range the bug instead of cup feeding, then the chameleon can choose a better shooting angle. At least this is what I experienced with sometimes getting roaches on the large size.

I’ve given him a couple today so we’ll see if he eats them. I think I fed him yesterday though so he might not be hungry.

Well theyre gone out of his feeder cup so I guess he ate them! I was gone for a couple hours so I missed seeing him eat them. They couldn’t have gotten out of the cup so he must have eaten them.
