I decided to take Ichi Nazo OUTSIDE today for a little while (it is 110 degrees here) So we hung out in the shade on my Macaws' perch. He seemed to like it....for the most part. Here are a few of the photos of his adventure today! Hope you all like them. :)

So what do you all think? Do he/she look healthy now? I am trying and he/she is great!

cool pics... lol but you should rotated them next time lol.

110 is pretty hot for that guy. What temps are his cage? He might be showing that color because he feels too hot?

That is why we stayed out for about 5 minutes!!! lol
He liked the garage better than the actual outside since it is only 90 in my garage! His cage goes between 80-90 degrees. It mostly stays at 85 degrees. Yeah I should have rotated them...I thought I could just paste them into the text box but that didn't work....I really am not that computer savy!!!

80-90 is pretty warm for a melleri.

Kristina's site gives some good info. It says on the husbandry page that temps between 82-90 are on the hot side of things. How often do you mist?

"Comfort Day range: ambient 65°F to 80°F
Night range: 70°F down to 50°F
Heat spotlight only: 80-90°F
Heat stress is observed when the ambient temperature reaches 83-90°F "

The highest I have ever seen his cage is 87 and that was because I hadn't gotten the herpimist to work right yet. His cage during the day gets to about 82-85 everyday. I mist about three times everyday. Lately I haven't even been using the heat lamp since it stays at 80 degrees all by itself.
