ID this hopper!

I can't figure out what it is... Maybe you guys can :). It didn't seem to be a very good flier, maybe traveling distances of 5 feet at a time very low to the ground. Inner femur has no distinctive markings or patterns and is just the plain base color. It has 'leopard' spot type spots on it's forewings, and it's hindwings are clear with no distinguishing features or markings. It's small, about 1 inch max. Found in disturbed land/tall grass field. Makes no noise when in flight, and I *think* I might have heard it make a cricket like chirp (or it could have been a prairie dog/squirrel/chipmunk thing that also lives in the field...

They kinda look like what I use to catch as a kid but I'm on east coast...so it's probably not, lol. If they are similar, they spit gross stuff on you >:p
 
These only spit up if you squeeze them too hard... :eek: I'm going to feed one off to my tester lizards to see if it's toxic tonight.
 
No, these dont have any bands on the wings. I already have some pallidepennis, these are much smaller and very different.
