Ideal incubation temperature?

I know the temperature range your suposed to incubate panther chameleons at, but is there a "best temperature" that promotes develpment or something, and is there a certain temperature for different locales thats ideal. I know they are the same species but they live in different areas that obviously have different temperatures.

I've heard of more than 1 way to do it. Right now I've had my eggs at a steady 74 degrees since September 4th. I'm going to drop the temp to about 64 to create a diapause for a month or so and then put it back up to about 75. I've heard much success with this method as the embryo will start to develop faster once it notices a temp raising after the colder period.

interesting, ive never heard of that technique, even if you do isnt it better if you do it gradually, the sudden change in temps could kill the eggs.

is 74 degrees also a good temp for vield eggs ? and can i leave it at 74 degrees the whole time or should it be higher at night time ??

I incubate the first 2 months at 69, the next 2 at 72, the next 2 or3 at 74
thanks suzi, and do i keep them the same temp day and night time ? and dont they take about 190 days what temp should i keep them at for the rest of the time ? is 74 ok ?
