My dad thinks it is weird to own more than one cham. Help me prove him wrong so he will let me get more!:)

i have 2. and as you read in my other post he OFFRED to buy me a 3rd. better than drugs right? ^^

I have 2 as well and I believe as long as you are prepared to take care of your chams for as long as they live and can financially support them then have as many as you like, I tried to not make my last purchase an impulse buy so I think it was half impulse and half thought out, now I couldnt be happier

I have two. If you look at people's signatures you'll see many of them indicate how many males and females and where they are from. There are people here with a lot of chameleons!

I have 12.

And over 100 veiled eggs incubating, a pregnant Jackson's and a k. multi who will soon lay eggs.

Two are melleri that free-range in my living room. Another melleri is a rescue and free-ranges in a different area. I have plants and free ranges set up so the others can spend time outside of their cages.

no intentions at all!!!!
I have bred and shown dogs and horses, and i have a 5yr old.
I have no desire to breed anything!!!
although Suzi wants a faly female to breed to my male, but she gets all the work!!

I love that idea of getting the kid involved, my fiance is gravid right now..lol, In a couple years if I can get my kid to take part with me then I could get away with expanding more and have an excellent opportunity to bond with my child :D

Now that could be be a win win scenario

I have 2 right now. A few years ago I had 5 adults, Panthers and Fischers and too many eggs and babies to count. It was wonderful and I'm "restocking" my Cham supply now.

I can not think of a better hobby than animals as you are caring for something other than yourself. You are researching the species you want to keep, planning, investing hours of time in feeding, cleaning not to mention the hours of enjoyment you receive from your Chams.

Tell your Dad it is not weird. It's weird for him because he doesn't have your interest. If you loved cars or baseball or whatever then you'd likely collect stuff for that. It's all about understanding what your interests are... he just can't relate to yours. It's a matter of perspective. It's a good hobby.
Good luck.
