I'm back...sorta!

Hi all, it's been a few years, but I decided to come back and pester you folks šŸ˜ˆ and check to see what's new. Hopefully more strides have been made in current husbandry so I've got new things to learn, but most of the basics I do know should still be good. I don't share my house with any chameleons currently, partly because I don't have access to any vet care and almost no access to feeders or supplies closer than a 2 hour car ride....and even at that distance the selection would be pretty dismal. That doesn't mean my time is completely my own, however. The current freeloaders include a pair of geriatric aviary birds and a truly ancient python.

Any of you old timers miss me? šŸ˜„

Hi and welcome back. Iā€™ve been here for six years, so not really much of an old timer, lol, and not sure if you were her when I started. Regardless though, itā€™s wonderful that youā€™ve rejoined the forum. :)

Thank you both! I'll probably lurk much of the time and stick my neck out just enough to comment on the classic, long standing troubles. I see they're around too, which is kind of discouraging. A lot of terrible or incomplete husbandry information is still floating around out there and some new keepers still end up unprepared.

Wasn't it the French writer Alphonse Karr who wrote the old saying "The more things change, the more they remain the same."?

Still, the good stuff like this forum is out there if people take the time to look before leaping. But that reminds me of another old saying... it has to do with horses and water.;)

šŸ˜„ Hi.. well I'm a really newtimer.. and one of those that made all the wrong mistakes to begin with! But I didn't even know this place existed until I had a lot of my stuff and started having questions about things I never thought to research before! Then when I would google something, threads from this forum would show up.. thats the only way I found it.
A python would be so cool.
