Hello everyone : )
I posted here a couple of weeks ago when we thought our cham had MBd. Although his calcium levels were low, the vets main concern was a bacterial infection. We've upped his calcium as advised - calci worms, small dusted gut loaded locusts, pear purée and liquid calcium daily and nutrobal once weekly. We drip fed his water to keep him hydrated and changed our UV bulb (zoo med 5.0 UVB coil) Over the course of a week he's had 2 injections of antibiotics and having his last tomorrow.
Since then, there has been progress. He eats more on his own but we still help him out. He sleeps a lot more in the day, usually with one eye open. Moving around ok. One nostril is slightly imflammed and a bit white. No pus or blood that I can see.
My uneducated guesses are : bulb is too bright? Sinus infection? Lethargy from antibiotics?
Thanks for reading : )
