In memoriam, Leo

Last night Leo passed away peacefully. Earlier in the day I had him outside on his tree and watered him, but I could tell he was getting weaker. Sometimes he's looked weak like this and then perks back up, but this time it was time for him to move on. I feel like he lived a long life, 6 1/2 years, but I also wanted him to live longer yet.

Here are a few photos:

I got him from Kammers in January of 2010:

RIP Leo

I already wrote you on FB, but I will express my condolences here also. I am very sorry you lost Leo. As I already stated, he sure did live a long and beautiful life with you and I hope you can find some sort of comfort in that. He outlived Romeo over 3 yrs. Now the two brothers can be together once again. It is never easy losing one of these amazing creatures and my heart goes out to you Stewart.

Thanks everyone. I'm sad to see him go, but I'm also glad that he lived as long as he did. One thing I'd recommend to everyone is to check the expiration dates on your vitamins. I was using the same vitamins for 4 years before I finally realized they had been expired for quite a while! This is a small thing, but it could have made a difference in perhaps Leo could have lived a few more years. I'll be paying closer attention to this in the future.

Thanks Carol! He was a great cham and so was Romeo. It's never easy, but this is a part of having just about any pet, unless you get a tortoise or a parrot that could outlive us.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Leo was an extremely stunning boy who got to live a long life full of love. My condolence. RIP LEO!
