email is [email protected]

Match up the female with the male. A female blue bar who is at least a year old would be good. You don't need an incubator if your house stays around 74 degrees. If it's too hot or two cold, incubators can be bought on lllreptile.com they need to be in slightly moist vermeculite, hatchright, or perlite. It will take anywhere from 6 mnth to a year for them to hatch but 7-8 is more normal. It can/will cost a LOT.

This is a very basic summary. Read more before you decide to breed. A lot of research is needed to breed.

Can i ask why you say it will cost alot?? A little info please!!

a lot of food required for babies is ordered online. you have to have an ample supply of TRUE pinhead crickets and fruitflies readily abailable for the hatchlings. meaning you will be ordering pinheads/FF for about 6 months depending on the hatching rate of all your babies. also you need to be able to have a place to keep these babies. they WILL need their own enclosure at 3-4 months of age. all enclosures need their own lighting, misting, cleaning. if you feel you are ready to invest this LARGE amount of time and money and have the patience to wait up to 14 months for all the eggs then give it a try. best of luck to you i have read a bunch on this and still dont feel comfortable enough to try it. maybe another year or two...

ok well before i get to much into it and spend probabably a grand or so. how much would a 3 to 4 month pure blue bar ambilobe panther be worth? how big of a cage should i have for them from birth to 5 months?

and i looked and some of the incubators are between 150 and 300

You don't need an incubator as long as you can keep an area where you live around 65-78 degrees; I'm attaching a basic caresheet. Breeding takes a lot of time and money, so I hope you know what your about to get into. Also, here is something to show how much it can cost.

**Note- You may not have 69 babies at once, but just shows everything you need to think of when thinking about breeding**

The price of your babies is based on supply and demand. If you have a male breeder who people want babies from and a female from a line that people want babies from you can sell the babies for up to 300 dollars. If no one wants the babies and you can't keep them you may have to sell them wholesale to someone for 60-100 dollars each.

What I suggest is posting a picture of your male and asking if anyone would be interested in buying his babies if you bred him. Or if you are only breeding for fun (which you should be because you may not even break even) then get a female and breed them but cull all but 10-15 eggs and see how that turns out. Being stuck with 40-50 babies that no one wants is not fun for your budget.

Plastic storage containers can keep about 5-10 babies per tub depending on size. As they become 3-4 months they need their own screen cages. Any bully babies who bite off tails, hand/feet, or steal food need to have their own cage. Smalls need to be removed from large babies and they need to be separated by age as well.

when the babies are born to a month do they need uvb lights?

if you are thinking about doing this project straight away then for your sake dont do it!
No offence but you obviously have no idea even were to begin.
You have done the right thing coming on here before you start as there are some people with alot of knowledge to share but its not a case of getting the basic info then doing it. You need months of research, alot of money, alot of time to spare, alot of space and a fair amount of contacts for when you come to sell.

i mean i have plenty of experience with chameleons i just have never bred and really want to i have 3,000 to put into and enough space or 15 cages ect. im fully prepared just need some info. i am not about to jump into it right away i want to breed now so i can try to have them start hatching anywhere from july to october so i have plenty of time to set everything up.

fair enough, just didnt want you going into something with your eyes closed.
Are you hoping to make money on it?

maybe a little i want to come out on top maybe 500 at the most i really just want the experience. if i could i would love to make profit.

Thank you so much for all this info everyone!!! Man thats alot of work. I will have to think twice about this. Do any of you members ever have alot of good eggs and ask another member who has been doing this a long time if they would like to have your eggs for free just for they won't die? That sounds like the right thing to do if you love chameleons right? anyone?
