Indiana Jones v.s. Han Solo

I havent done a V.S. thread in a while, and thought why not.

Who would win? Now I will say, this has been compared else where on the world wide web, but lets keep it on Chameleon Forums shall we??

Dr. Jones-

Weapon- whip, revolver, what ever else is lying around ( very adaptive)

Vehicle experiences- Planes, cars, elephants, tanks, horses, camels, motorcycles, ducks ( amphibious car)

Longevity- survived an atomic explosion, Nazis, the wrath released from the ark, etc.

Also, very educated, and has many different skills as well as adapting quick to his surroundings even though his father might get in the way.

He has been captured several times by the Nazis and forced in to situations that are hard to work out of.


Weakness- Snakes


Han Solo -

Weapon- blaster

Vehicle experinces- millenium falcon, speeder, tonton, ( others assumed)

longevity- has survived several attacks from the Empire.

He is known as a stuck up, half-witted, scruffy-looking Nerf herder, and a "space jockey". Many may think he thinks way to highly of himself at least until the last movie.

Weakness- Forming Friendships???

BOTH- have been attacked by storm troopers no matter the galaxy, and always end up the hero in the end no matter how much the ladies dislike them.


Who would win in a fight???
 
Hans down, it has to be Solo.

Yeh,but she certainly did not look like that in the orig or sequels,well except when she was in the care of Jabba.
 
oh, the prisoner leia? Held by the one and only Jabba?

Now, for argument sake this isnt very strong for the fight on Solo's side, as Dr. Jones had relations with many different women.


but yes, that is a very nice picture ( for one I can not see)
 
Anyone who has watched the movies would know hes a ladies man even though he dosen't come across as one.

Raiders of the Lost Ark featured a rekindled romance between Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) and fiery bar owner Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen), who had first fallen for Indy as a teenager. Indy didn't dump her in the next film in the franchise, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom since it was technically a prequel, but he was running around with annoying Willie Scott (played by Kate Capshaw who would later become Mrs. Steven Spielberg). The third movie, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, had Indy and his father (Sean Connery) both falling prey to treacherous Dr. Elsa Schneider (Alison Doody). By the fourth film, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Indy finally reunits with Marion — who took him back even though he had dumped her at the altar years before.





Also, in the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, when Dr. Jones meets up with his son in the start, Jones has trouble remembering which women it could possibly be, showing infact, that he, himself has lost track of his relationships.

Dr. Jones of course! You forgot to list among Indy's assets...Short-round!! Hans just had a couple troublesome robots and a fur rug...lol :p:D

I feel this supports my theory, as Indy cannot remember enough to keep track, I feel he is un-motivated in comparison to Hans Solo.
Who the bigger ladies man is, has no bearing on this argument, IMO.

Well no, I agree. Han only having leia would give him more motive to fight for her, but in your first reply to "whos the bigger ladies man" seemed as if you didnt think Dr. Jones had many women after him

But that is irrelevant to this discussion. WHO WOULD WIN in a fight to the death, or atleast until the other gives in.
 
I see what you are saying, in that I played into that area of the discussion, asking for further info. That merely means I value everyones opinion, and wanted that aspect shared to the full extent.
I think its safe to say, that we have covered it, and if anything, shown that the "women in their lives aspect" would only lean things in Solo's favor.

Motivation plays a HUGE role in any fight/battle, and is often the determining factor in who wins.

I maintain the argument that Solo would win on these grounds, unless further arguments are provided.

so your argument is that han has the upper hand in that he has leia as a motivational factor in respects to either sexual gratification or love.

certainly there is a major motivational factor in the male libido, and to even any persons dive to perserve the life of loved one.

but people have differnt motivational forces. i think jones' curiosity and passion for archeology and what hes go through to satiate that drive. i think that is fairly balanced in comparison to solo in respect to leia.

i still say jones simply becuase of the whip hes a bamf.

It was a bit awkward the first time yes, but you get used to it.
 
I think the motive given off by his attraction to leia is very important, but kinda irrelevant as leia wouldn't really be in danger, which is when his motive to win would probably increase.

We also have to think about how advanced Han Solo is compared to Dr. Jones. Han lives in a galaxy far far away, which is very very advanced.


I think Han Solo would win.
 
Yes, we could say that any motivation that is added in from Leia is that of him wanting to survive to be with her.

Solo does live in a more advanced society, but that could make him lazy.
I mean, he sits in a chair, and pilots the millennium falcon all day.

Jones is more likely to be in better shape, as he treks through the jungle and such.

If its a hand to hand fight we are talking about, Ill give my vote to Jones at this point.
