Everything I've read on chameleons in general states that most of them eat small land snails. They are plentiful in my area but I'm afraid to feed them to my veiled due to the fear of impaction. Anyone with any info on this subject? They would be from a safe area as far as insecticides and fertilizers. Thanks David

I've really only seen montane chameleons eat snails. My pardalis always ignored them. I only collect the smaller ones with thin shells and have never had a problem feeding them to animals much smaller than veileds. If yours will actually eat them, there shouldn't be a problem with impaction.

Never heard of impaction from feeding snails, i do all the time to some of my other species of lizards..
FIRSTLY, you must gutload them for 48 Hrs with lettuce or similar just to clean them out, as they could have been eating something that may cause harm to your cham...just to be sure!
Cheers
Scott.
