Injection spot for Veiled chameleons?

My veiled cham is in really bad shape, hasn't been eating for days, and when I try to give it bug juice, it pukes it out, because it was given orally an antibiotic that tastes really bad. I have the antibiotic solution, I have the proper needles&syringes. I just have no idea where to inject it.

I have an appointment with the vet on monday, and the vet told me that we need to inject the antibiotics, but my cham's condition has been deteriorating so fast that he won't live untill monday.

Has anybody seen vet's inject antibiotics, or other solutions into veiled chameleons?

If so, where do they exactly give them the shots?

If your chameleon is in such a bad condition you think he's gonna die within the next two days, antibiotics probably won't help as single treatment. So the best idea wouldn't be to look for the right spot to inject antibiotics, but to phone your reptile vet. An obviously nearly dying chameleon is a case of emergency. Is there any possibility to keep the chameleon as inpatient at your vet's?

Without knowing which antibiotics your vet told you to use (and why), it's difficult to give any advice about injecting. Some need to be given subcutaneous at laterally abdominal wall, some need to be given intramusculary into forearm muscles, some need definitely infusions at the same time to protect from renal failure and some can lead to necrotizing tissue if given in wrong place...unfortunately, it's not that simple.

I am in a country that has only 5 million people, there are like only 2 vets available in this whole country that know anything about chameleons, or even just reptiles, and both are not answering since it's weekend.

I tried the central animal hospital that is open 24/7, but there was nobody available on this weekend who knew anything about chams.

Aight then, I will wait untill monday, and continue administering the antibiotic orally.

Thanks for the info!
