Introducing Sabine!

She's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! Thanks for helping me name her. :)

Thanks so much, everyone!! <3

She’s a panther, right!
I believe @bbyoda got a carpet chameleon

She's a carpet chameleon I got from @javadi. I've been curious about them for a while now - just smaller chameleons in general - and went for it when he posted he had some juveniles for sale. I would love a panther, too, but I don't have the space for another 2x2x4 enclosure. One day! :)

So cute! I didn't know they started off that small, how big will she get?

Thank you! About 4” (10 cm) from snout to vent and twice that including the tail - per Frank Payne's care sheet.

omg it was one thing to see how tiny she is compared to your hand but dang how tiny she is compared to that zip tie! lol She is just a doll!

I thought I was prepared for how tiny she'd be but wasn't! I tried to get small ferns, pothos, a draceana with thin leaves and small branches. My plan is to hunt for smaller branches and a plant with smaller vines, haven't been seeing anything too great at Home Depot so far. I am also probably going to grab from fruit fly cultures and am hatching silkworm eggs now. Just such a difference from an adult male Veiled!

See if you can find the china doll plants. They have tiny leaves and stems.

Update: today Sabine ate a few BSFL out of my hand. It's day 2. It took me 9 months to build trust with my Veiled enough for him to eat out of my hand. 😂

I think she also ate the baby Surinam roaches I put in a small feeding cup in her enclosure, but it's possible they escaped. She seems less interested in discoid roaches so far.
