Hey ... from what I can find this is a great price for this infrared thermometer. The only problem for me is they don't ship to Canada. If somebody is going to order one and can get an extra one I'll pay you through Paypal for your cost and shipping to me!

Let me know!!

Thanks ... Dyesub Dave. :D

I calibrate things like this for a living guys, I/R thermometers probably suck for your application. What sort of accuracy are you looking for? In a controlled test enviorment (pointing directly at a flat black surface) are usually +/- 2.5F.

I calibrate some of the more expensive ones (Fluke, Raytech) I couldn't see a harbor freight I/R thermometer being very accurate at all.

Most of the electronic reptile thermometers with remote sensors are a lot more accurate.

I can go into more detail with this if you guys would like tomorow.

...usually +/- 2.5F...
Howdy,

Yep, that's right on for accuracy. We can live with that. Repeatability is also a biggie for our app. too. The infrared temps guns give us a better insight into the chameleon's actual temp rather than just the heat absorbed by the remote temp sensor at its location. The remote sensors are great for monitoring the ambient temps, especially the min/max temps which are critical in understanding nighttime drops and daytime peaks. I can't live without both temp sensors .

If you are in a Cal Lab then you probably play with some of my equipment. I'm a Field Apps Engineer with Agilent Technologies. Need a 90GHz BW sampling scope for $100K :)?
