Is my cham okay

My chameleon wakes up and move to the top of the cage and bask and he stays there all day until its time to turn of the lights where he goes to the leafs again. any reason why he does that?

Hmmmmmmmm,my terrarium's temp between the two basking spots get from 80-85 degrees,baskign should be around 90,and below should be around 80 i think.
