My cham is about 6 months old and I am just wondering whats your opinion. Is he skinny and does he looks like a healthy cham?

Ps. This is my first chameleon..

I misted today for 5-7 minutes and he drank constantly from one leaf so I think he is okay now. I am going to do 5-7 minutes misting 3-4 times a day and he has a dripper now so that should be fine I guess.

Yes Veilds drink alot. I use a weed sprayer with the trigger removed, a longer house and mount the sprayer. It will rain for a few minuets. My arms were getting tired trying to hand mist.

On the skinny thing. I think maybe a little. From what I know of lizards you can look at the base of their tail to judge "plumpness"

I have heard in veilds that dehydration show in the casque sides being more concave. Makes sense but I have one read it in one source.

I am including a pic of the base of the tail from my male and female. The male had a very bad injury and was unable to eat for two to three weeks. For the last week or so he has been getting "bug juice" every other day.
He is defiantly under weight. Notice the difference in the plumpness, and rounder shape of her tail, vs the lateral ridge, and more triangular top. It takes a bit to get used to it but once you see it you know it.
