Um...pics?I left him in his enclosure last night with his dripper running. I found him like this i thought he was dead this morning but he's changing colors now so I need help. Is it too late to take him to the vet?
I’m sorry, but I think you’ve lost your Cham.
I was watching him eat every dayNot much muscle on bones. Was he starving?
Maybe, but I’d start with a husbandry review. I don’t know whether you’ve ever filled out the form, but it would be helpful. However, there’s no rush, and you’re grieving, so take some time, then we can talk.Thank you kaizen. Could the vet tell me how he died?
I have filled out the form here: https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/new-young-veiled-chameleon.178860/ I should mention we had lost power a couple days ago due to a recent hurricane but I was running his lights off a generator. Something came up that made me move him and his enclosure to my friends house for a night or two.Maybe, but I’d start with a husbandry review. I’m sorry, I didn’t realize it was me who went over your husbandry. I should have remembered, and I apologize for my insensitivity in not remembering Rango. While I made some husbandry suggestions, I don’t think the short time you had him—even with less than ideal husbandry—could be the only cause here. Something may have happened when he stayed at your friend’s place, but my guess is that there was a confluence of factors at work here. Again, you should probably take some time to grieve. If you do decide to get back on the horse, this community is here to support you, and I would be happy to share some of my experiences about how I’ve had success.I have filled out the form here: https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/new-young-veiled-chameleon.178860/ I should mention we had lost power a couple days ago due to a recent hurricane but I was running his lights off a generator. I’m sure that other skilled keepers will also be a wealth of information here. When you’re ready to get back to it, PM me, and we can chat.Thank you kaizen, no need to apologise. I do plan to get back into this. I want to not only hear your success stories but your failure stories as well. I want to eliminate as many factors as I can to keep this from happening again.
