Is my plant grow light safe for my cham

I have a hydrofarm 6400k grow light that I use for my tropical bonsai trees in indoors in the winter months. The bulb is a 2ft T5 that uses 24watts at 6400k. I wanted to make sure it was safe to add for extra lighting in my chams cages and for plant growth. I already have a retpisun 5.0 and a basking light but wanted to check if the T5 6400k grow light was safe to use and wouldn't hurt there eyes.

that should be fine. i would just make sure it doesnt make it too hot and that there are places the chameleon can go to get away from the light

Yeah The T5's barely put out much heat. But it does make the cage a lot brighter. Right now I don't even have to turn on my veileds basking light because her temps stay around 80 degrees. She lays most of the day right under her retpisun 5.0 tube. I'll have to watch and see if she goes on the lower branches away from the brighter light. I just wanted to make sure the 6400k wasn't going to hurt her eyes.

my chams go toward any light source lol. they go toward windows, lights etc... love funn sun. but i know they dont wanna tan all day long haha

She likes to hang upside down right under her retpisun in the afternoons after she eats.:D Shes around 3 months old or so so shes in that phase of hanging upside down in her cage.

that adorable. mine stopped doing it almost the exact day he turned 8 months. one they get to a certain size its more like exercise to hang there with their body weight and they are too lazy for that lol
