Is purple bar ambanja rare?

They're not that common at all
If anyone comes up with one I'm willing to bet it's not going to get sold
by anyone that knows what they're doing as it's going into a breeding program.
If you've kept up with the kammers website over the years you'll know that amandil is a real first for them.
As the caption said "Have you ever seen anything like this?!"
Other breeders have had the odd one appear in their clutches but as far as I know
nobody has been able to reproduce the co-dominant colorations that makeup
the "purple" in the males with any consistency. I haven't done the math
but the chances have got to be "up there".

what your saying then is nobody produced eggs that make purple bar chameleons. how many people have really tried? it would seem easy to do just figure out what colors make purple and mate those 2 chameleons eventually you get your purple bars then keep those babies for breeders then you got your purple bar to sell you.

That's easier said then done. The Kammers have been around for years and years and they just recently got a purple barred ambanja.
