Is the money tree (pachira species) safe or not??

i have read many threads on this subject but i havent got a clear answer. Would this plant be safe for my veiled chameleon? he would probably be munching on it so i just want to make sure he is safe.. thank you

I think im going to put mine in too, because, through the research ive done, the people with it in their cages seem to be having no problems, and the people who say it isnt safe never differentiate between this type and the other type, but the posts where they do explain both of the kinds, they say this kind is safe and the other isnt safe. :D

I heard both yes and know. I have one in my free range with a couple of bite marks out of it, and my cham is perfectly healthy.

My chameleons doesn't think it would kill them. Here they are taking turns to drink from the leaves.

I always use one in all my Pygmy enclosures Ive ever had and still have. I don't use them with my Rudis because the one that's the right size to hold them is too tall for the cage i have them in. I also, don't use a big one in my panther cage because the branches definetly wont hold him up. Else I would defiently use one. They are nice, create a conopy effect, and are pretty hardy.

I'd like to bump this thread. I've been searching and searching on this subject and here's what I've found:

Either posters say "I've heard it's toxic, don't use it" (but don't share any stories of it actually being harmful to a cham)
-and-
"It's fine. I have one in my cham's cage, there's a few bite marks, and no ill affects."

Can anyone else confirm that this is a safe plant? Do any of you have this plant in your enclosure, particularly with a vieled who likes to CHOMP on leaves? My little guy has been taking bites here and there. He loves this tree, eats, sleeps, and drinks from this plant.

Since there's a bit of confusion on what a 'Money Tree' is, it's not the bamboo. It looks like this:
