is this large x tall adequate for a veiled chameleon. if not please feel free to link any other solid walled enclosure.

In my opinion, I think it is a good starter cage. You probably want to upgrade once the cham gets bigger, so maybe around 5 months for a male, 8 months for a female? I am just going off of how quickly each gender grows. But maybe it will be a good fit for your cham as long as you fill it good with greenery.

i need an upgrade cage i have the repti breeze 2.5ft cage right now and my chameleon is about 5.5 inches stv. little small i know but im looking for an enclosure which will suit the tundra like environment i live in. it rains so much yet the air in my house is sooo dry. i crank the heating way p to keep out the 40f temps and everything just dries. any recommended enclosures?

That cage will be fine. The glass Exo Terra’s come at a premium, but you cannot beat how well they manage heat and humidity. They provide plenty of air circulation, and are a great cage to use as bioactive enclosures.

So it being 36inches is ok?

I would say so.

Wait wait, why do you say 36" is acceptable? It is well known that 48" is the minimum for an adult. That's an entire foot of difference, which is not a trivial amount for arboreal species. @Curlytails please do not go with this cage. Modifying a reptibreeze is a much better idea. Not only is it too short, but it is ALSO not wide enough. The necessary dimension are 24 x 24 x 48. This cage is only 36 x 18 x 36, which means that only one out of the three dimensions is acceptable.

Understandable but i need something that holds in droplets. Do you have any good sized glass enclosures. Dont mind the price. Also the exo terra was reccomended by the breeders podcast.

Id recommend a screen cage. You can wrap two or three sides with plastic wrap or a shower curtain to retain humidity. A mist system that you can program to mist every few hours will also help keep humidity from dropping too low for extended periods of time.

I do not recommend that glass enclosure. Its not tall enough nor is it deep enough for an adult veiled or panther. There are glass enclosures available but you will most likely be paying a lot more or need one to be custom built.

The enclosure you listed would work for a chameleon under 6 months of age. After that, the cham will become way too cramped.

Just my two cents on the topic...
