Is this a good setup?

I'm new to chameleons and saved enough money to buy a juvenile veiled chameleon (or panther chameleon, I haven't made up my mind yet). I did a lot of research and added some of the basic requirements to an amazon wish list here:http://amzn.com/w/29B8I9BGTRWQ6

Is there anything I missed? I'm going to buy plants, but I wanted to order live ones from somewhere else.

Also, any recommendations on a good chameleon breeder/supplier? I was going to use http://www.flchams.com, but if there is anything better i'd like to know.

Thanks!

Don't buy the Zoo Med ReptiSun UVB Compact bulb I was told to buy by a "Cham export" and he started closing his eye so you should stay away from it

Awesome of you for doing your research before you buy. Have you contacted flchameleons with the necessities before you get your Cham? As far as I can tell anyone affiliated with this site is pretty redemptive to questions from new owners.

Wouldn't say that the bulb is the reason of the cham closing his eyes ! I used reptisun 5.0 and is totally fine the diference between the comoact and the tube is the area that the light cover that is it !

If your going with FLChams - look at the set ups they have - If you get one from them they give you a better guarantee - I would go with a tube light no mater where you get it - They say the blubs don't cause eye problems (anymore) but there have been lots of reports and better safe than sorry.
Don't listen to your local chain store on what you need - you don't need the carpet it's easier to just wipe the cage clean without it and they end up getting wet. Chain stores will sell you substrate and all kinds of things that are actually bad to use.
There are also some great breeders in the classified section- When I got my panther I got found one close by and saved on the shipping.
The wipe out for cage cleaning is sort of hard to use on a screen cage - when I'm doing a good cleaning I just use a mix of hydrogen peroxide and water and then spray it down outside with the hose.
You can pick up a pump spray bottle at Lowes or Home Depot - the pump gives a nicer spray - Don't get a monsoon- it will break in a month or two save up for an aqua zamp or a mistking instead - they don't cost that much more and they actually work.
If your picking between Panthers and Veiled - go with the one you really want - you'll end up with it sooner or later anyway and then you'll have to buy a whole new set up-

You are missing a bulb for basking. The hood you chose has two sockets, but sometimes the sockets take two different types of bulbs. When I read it, all it said was that it supports up to 60 watts for each.

Also, what do you plan to gut load your crickets with?

Oh! I had that carpet stuff and it can get really messy! It gets soaked and stays all wet and can harbor bacteria. I wouldn't get that, but it's up to you. :)
